2014: 1ST ANNUAL GIRLS SKATE NYC - CENTRAL PARK EDITION

The first activation of the GIRLS SKATE NYC project took place June 2014 in Central Park. With over a decade of longboarding under her wing…A special invite direct from Nat2Legit to the NYC longboarding scene received a positive reaction from girls living throughout the city. On this date, women of all different backgrounds and careers met on 59th St. Columbus Circle for a unique chilled down experience of “street surfing on concrete waves” with Nathalie Herring.

Her former Bustin Boards Co. teammate Marc Rodriguez, Co-Founder of #GoodVibesCeativeMinds, joined the ladies and documented this event.

GIRLS SKATE NYC X PROSPECT PARK

The 2nd activation of GIRLS SKATES NYC took place August 2016 at Brooklyn’s largest natural grounds, Prospect Park. THe beauty of this event was the amount of beginners that turned out to participate and meet other fellow skatergirls. So many guys turned up as well showing support for the ladies and helping to create a truly awesome event. Thank you to all my sponsors!

GIRLS SKATE NYC X PGC (PHENOMENAL GIRLS CLUB) EDITION

The 3RD & final activation of GIRLS SKATE NYC was a return back to Brooklyn’s Prospect Park. In collaboration with DREAMWORKS3D Founder, Julie Young I hosted a Meet, Skate, Kumbaya for my youngest group of longboarding enthusiast. The Phenomenal Girls Club creates experiences for young women to meet women in business through various areas of business. In October 2017, my project was chosen for a spotlight. It was an amazing opportunity to share my story, teach a few basic longboarding techniques & connect with everyone attending. Definitely exposed a new way to flow in the world to this crew.
